Edmonton to Kamloops and return I could get 8.8 mpg in the summer.
Kamloops to Vancouver is another matter.
    Tandem or truck-axle ?
    I got 6.5 tandem and 5.8 tri-axle.

At 6 mpg it would be around $1400 if your paying approx $1.25/ litre

I do this run often, Tandem Reefer, no Skirts, No Tails, 5750kg steers, 16500kg on the drives, 15900kg on the Trailer 6.2-6.5mpg winter fuel. That's driving for fuel mileage, not on the floor speed like most vans/reefers. 2018 International LT, X15 Efficiency, 13 speed Auto, 3:42's, 22.5's.

The L/100km on the dash says 38.3-40.5, the ELD tracking stuff, said 6.0-6.5mpg US. These new Internationals LT's with the X15's are doing very very well, so well the company is considering abandoning the remaining Prostars with the ISX's.

My brother in law in Ontario is running the same truck and engine, pulling 5 axle trailer (super b weights) he is getting the same fuel economy. Pretty impressive.

Thats awesome, I only have 35 000kms on this one, but a couple of our other ones are just getting to 80 000kms, and they are into the 7's now. I'm looking forward to getting a clean run in, with no stoppages or delays, so I can get a better idea of the true MPG. The dealer said at 100 000kms, after the first A service, is when you really start to see the 8-9mpg numbers; So I guess we will see.

Just talked to him an hour ago. Got laid off last week. The owner had a heart attack in December and decided to close up shop and retire.
