I'm a huge Connex fan and thats a pretty decent radio you have BUT.... Connex didn't put enough cooling features on it. I believe it only has a heat sink on the back and not on the bottom or any fans. If your a motor mouth that radio will get HOT!!! So keep your talking on the short side or you'll burn it up in no time. The 4600 Turbo is pretty much the improved replacement for the 4400 but they do still make it.

 

I am a fan of the connex brand also I have the 3300hp and its the best cb i have ever had. I got mine from clays radio shop in tx.

 

I miss mine, best darn radio I ever had. The darn thing had the side mounted mic, instead of the front mount. Would not work in my Volvo. But, the Cobra high power 148 or whatever works great too. Can't really complain, and it fits.
