Dang, guy, I was just saying if he designed the board as he originally said where brokers posted their price and drivers choose it that it would mean crappy rates posted. I'd like to think that thought doesn't make me a spot market failure..? You said you thought his idea wasn't great, too. I wasn't defending the OP... I was saying I didn't think it would work and I was using Schneider"s model as an example of why...

 

You said brokers dictate rates. That's usually what guys say when they cant make it out here.

It's a lame idea. Stupid. Just like Uber and Convoy and every other dumb ### idea in the past 5 years dreamt up by some tech egg head that thinks they know how to improve and stream line the "ancient" freight business making themselves rich in the process. Convoy and uber turned out to be just more brokers. Great... Just what the world needs. More freight brokers.... Millions of venture capital wasted to start.... ...another freight brokerage. Haha Haha. Can you honestly say it's not a stupid idea? Come on be honest.

 

For the OPs next trick he could create a stock market with fixed consistent pricing. What could go wrong?

 

I mentioned the model he initially described that the brokers would set the rates is bad, but that the call and haggle way works better because we get a say in the rates. I got bent over by the Choice board long enough to know I would much rather negotiate I may have just said it poorly.

 

Yeah I left out the most brilliant part of it in my post above. Fixed pricing. Price fixers. Great idea. Brilliant. That was what originally had me call this whole thing stupid. Nobody will use that and the freight will sit until the prices are allowed to float with the market.
