After not hearing from the Gemini recruiter for over a week of emailing her, and a phone call today. I decided they are not treating me professionally, and called the Houston R.M. to get a follow-up. The R.M. told me the HQ decided to not go through with my app, and I asked why not, he said they gave him no reason. He was apologetic for the recruiter not getting back to me. However, the way the handled my app after first phone interview showed signs of an unprofessional process. Needless to say, closed doors are good because they make decisions easier to make, and I pray that way also, because some decisions are hard to make, and only God sees the future.

That Familyguy is exactly correct. That's exactly wht I have been talking about here. A long time ago a wise person told me that "first impressions are usually the impression" and that person has been correct ever since. Its always been that way, ans alot fo folks here do not see it. You are correct. I received an email back from JBS of Greely yesterday saying that if I didnt get back ahold of them in two days I was doomed, application wise. That tells me alot about them.Bootlegger99 and familyguy Thank this.

With little and no experience you expect a lot. They get a wanna be and another without even a yr behind the wheel who want to drive mobile bombs and you think they should handle you with kid gloves?? May be policy. May be some gal who is covering for others on vacation working 2 or more jobs. Relax. Learn to sell yourself not badger someone into saying no.
familyguy Thanks this. -
My resume sells itself-and me-just fine. I have been through numerous safety academies, and criminal justice academies, throughout the decades. I guarantee you I can sell myself, with numerous awards received, on safety alone. When it comes to driving a vehicle, or "mobile bombs" as people here like to call them, if you don't start out with the respect necessary for that machine you're already screwed before you even turn the key to start driving that "mobile bomb."

What's that have to do with driving?? If they are hiring security you sound like the man. But Gemini usually requires 2 yrs full time current driving experience. Coastal, UPT, Frontier others are more likely to give you a shot.

Not true, Gemini didn't require two years, if they did, I wouldn't bother applying to them. Anyway, like I said, it was a blessing in disguise that I was not hired, as subsequently, I found out that hauling crude oil is not the best of hauling jobs, especially regarding the conditions you deliver in.Bootlegger99 Thanks this.
