Here are other opportunities you might look into:
Automatic Truck Jobs
RAIDER EXPRESS is an ALL AUTOMATIC FLEET
2 Week Orientation if you got your CDL, to train you on the Automatic Truck.
Or if you dont have a CDL.
They have their own CDL A School, no cost to you.
Free Room and Board.
PLUS PAID TRAINING.
With CDL $600
Without CDL $1000
http://www.raiderexpress.com
Also Melton Truck Lines, they train you on standard/manual trucks but they have Automatic....after training you can request an Automatic.
(You must have your CDL A, before applying and have attended a Certified CDL A School or have 3 months of OTR)
Their whole Fleet is moving to Automatics, because a better fuel milage.

Chinatown Thanks this.

I'm mostly considering dryvan, or tanker that doesn't involve hazmat. I don't mind going OTR but would prefer a dedicated or regional run. I would also consider relocating, I don't have a wife or kids so I'm married to the money any advice is greatly appreciated.

That far south in Florida limits your choices, but there's jobs available.
I'm curious what your school's job placement has on their list.
Vero Logistics - in Margate has solo and team runs. Trucks have Tripac APU, inverter, refrigerator, pet can ride along and no pet fee.
Florida Beauty Express - in Miami has team runs to California and sometimes a big triangle; Miami to California to New York & back to Miami. The benefit is you can take as much time off as you want between runs without fear of losing your job. This company also has local runs within Florida for solo drivers.
Monterey Boats - Williston,Florida
Abilene Motor Express - decent outfit & one of their trainers lives near you.
Titan Transfer - dry van outfit with nice trucks that hires new cdl grads.
Milan Express - not sure they hire that far south, but worth a try because they do hire Florida drivers.
FFE (Frozen Food Express) - has terminals in Winterhaven and Miami.
Roehl Transport - I've seen their ads looking for drivers as far south as Miami.
MCT Transportation - has a terminal in Sanford & orientation is in Auburndale.
Fastenal - their website has "experience required", but they do hire new cdl grads. Many trucking companies do that for some reason.
Butler Transport
Freymiller - www.drive4freymiller.com
Covenant Transport - need hazmat endorsement.
Southern Refrigerated Transport
Sygma Network - food service & hauls for Sysco.

Here's a Milan Express truck; most drivers haven't heard of the company:
