I decided to go to Shaffer. 50-53 cents a mile to start and 1 day off for every 6 days out. 2600-2700 miles a week on average, which is great. Make more money to do less work. Lots of terminals, no waiting to get routed anywhere to get work done. Decided after the dust had settled that bigger paychecks in exchange for less work was the only sane choice. Friend of mine has been there for 14 years. He’ll have some bonus cash coming his way soon.
CorsairFanboy, Zaros, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hey Jeff18, are you the one I swapped loads with at Sauke Centre, MN? How was home time? It was nice to swap with a fellow Holland driver who had a good attitude. I did that run to Auburn, WA. Then got 2 pu at Seattle and Anacortes, WA to Motley, MN. 1389 loaded, 60 DH. Then picked up at Park Rapids, MN to Elizabeth, NJ. It's suppose to deliver 02/15 0600hrs. Told them was low on 70hr ahead of time before emptied at Motley, MN. Finishing at Midnight for 34 restart. at Flying J South Beloit, IL. Started driving in 96. Worked for Swift and Werner. This is my 3rd Company since 96. I like them best for Long runs, satalite tv, APU, fridge. I miss stick shifts. Best advice to drivers is communication with dispatch if problem with delivery or pickup ahead of time. I look at preplan and HOS, and recap. I use always 50mph average for preplan and advise dispatch. I saw that driver with trk#15** that Had the worst attitude at Anacortes, WA. I told Magie about him last time I was there. I told her he is going to get hurt someday with his attitude/disrespect. Peace out from a Cold War Fulda Gap Veteran.

I’ve gone back and forth plenty of times with former superiors at some of my previous employers. Never effected my safety or the way I do my job one bit.

Do your job as a dispatcher, listen to me when I call you to let you know about an issue I’m having with a load and make the adjustments that I already know need to be made instead of making a bigger deal out of it than it is or talking to me like I don’t know how to do basic math, don’t call or send a message unless you either have a question or something is legitimately wrong, and I’m happy.
-
Yes it is me buddy. Hope all is well. The load I picked up from you I delivered then got a load home. Just came back out yesterday two stopper from Philadelphia to new Orleans then Houston. Stay safe

I haven't been here a full year yet. But from mid September to the end of 2017 I made 15000. That's 3.5 months I didn't Include my bonus that I got you could add to that figure. And yes we do have the miles. You will not sit here. Loads here are no joke. At least as far as length of haulZaros Thanks this.

Good luck to you. Worked there 18 years ago. Not a bad company but the miles dropped
