It would depend on home time for me. I would also want 1.5 times hourly rate above 40 hours per week. 19 an hour is .395 cpm at a 60 mph average. That’s a little low.

Heck....I did Not think about that since I'm a Vet. ( I believe people should be able to choose their Primary Doc. ) The Standard coverage I guess. I'm not to informed on it.

Don't know if its the norm but the company I work for will actually pay drivers who opt out of the health coverage they offer after 5 years with the company. Its a good deal for those with spouse coverage and veterans. Its several hundred a month.

Found a company that changed it's pay structure. I can see their model being one that tips the scales more towards balance for the drivers:
To do this, we have completely redesigned our salary conditions! We are pleased to announce that starting October 2017, as soon as E-Logs and telemetry modules are operational on all our trucks, ALL OUR DRIVERS WILL BE PAID ON TIME , AND THAT, EVEN ON THE LONG DISTANCES ...!

The new salary conditions will therefore be as follows:

    - "Senior" status (more than 2 years experience):
    "Driving" / "In service"
    Start: $ 25 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    1 year: $ 26 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    2 years: 26 $ / hr - $ 18 / hr
    3 years: $ 27 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    5 years: $ 28 / hr - $ 18 / hr

"Junior" status (Less than 2 years experience):
    "Driving" / "In service"
    Start: $ 21 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    1 year: $ 23 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    2 years: $ 26 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    3 years: $ 27 / hr - $ 18 / hr
    5 years: $ 28 / hr - $ 18 / hr

Hours worked after 60 hours in the week will be paid on time and ½.
    • Layover bonus: $ 200 / day
    • Wide load premium: $ 75 / day
    • "No violation" inspection bonus: $ 50 / inspection
    • "Pick up and delivery" bonus: $ 25 / ea ( in addition to the hourly wage)
    • And $ 51 / day tax-free for expenses (included in the hourly wage)
    • Pay calculated and deposited every week.
