It's right in front of you. Cummins 15E, 500HP out of 15 litres. MX-13, 530 HP out of 13 litres.
-
Seems you're mistaken about that 1/4 mile figures:
The Bugatti Chiron whooped the SRT Demon by over 1/2 second in the 1/4 mile. -
For reasonable money only nissan gtr
-
That’s nothing to brag about......

Those figures are normal. MAN for instance sells the same engine for all kind of purposes. Depending what it is going to be used for, it will be set up for a certain power rating (just as with CAT). The power rating influences the life span of the engine. Truck engines are build for a 1 million mile life span. Since CAT doesn't build truck engines any more, it is impossible to know what the power rating for a truck version of the C13 Acert would be.
-
And by the way, there are 'chip tuners' who can reprogram the chip of an MX-13, so that it will have 590 HP instead of the standard 530 HP.
-
Will it still meet your relaxed emission laws?
-
Why pick a middle of the range Cummins to compare to the top spec MX?
Why not the 605 hp Cummins?sdaniel Thanks this. -
Very simple. The X15P is build for higher RPM. The X15E has similar characteristics to the MX-13, and I took the top of the range X15E.
