This company I'm looking at gives 11 com weekly for idle incentive thing is I have to keep under 5% is that even possible this company only runs northeast
Is it even possible to keep idle under 5% in the northesst?

I assume 11cpm mile is what you typed. It all depends on the miles you get each week. Which probably won't be a huge number if your running the Northeast anyway. 2,000 miles would get you $220 a week that's a pretty good chunk of change if you actually get it. If your truck runs 70hrs a week ( all on duty time) 5% would be 3.5hrs of idle time you'll have a hard time staying warm or cool. I'm not sure if I figured this correctly if not someone will surely let us know.

Hell, I have an apu and have to pay for the fuel and 6% is about where I'm landing. Good luck, you're going to freeze or burn up.

7.4% comes to 5.18 hrs. that's about an hour a day idling if you spend 5 nights a week in the truck. Personally I never tried to get any idling bonus my comfort is to valuable. If the company pays enough to do the actual job you won't have to chase after it either.austinmike and bzinger Thank this.

It's possible.
I once watched a driver slide his tandems. He shut off the engine, got out lowered his landing gear and pulled the tandem pin, got back in, started up the engine, slid the tandems, shut off the engine, got out, check the hole position, got back in, started up the engine, slid the tandems a bit more, shut off the engine, got back out and checked the holes, pushed the pin in, started the engine, tugged the tandems until the pins went complete through the holes, shut the engine off, and got out to inspect the pins, got back in, started the truck and reweighed his wagon on the cat scale.skellr, Smut, slim shady and 2 others Thank this. -
