To the OP, mine is a 6NZ07480, so I think that the consensus here is that the 6NZ02434 that you mentioned would be exempt.......I think!

I agree! The verbiage they used in the FMCSA regs suck.
Good thing is, I doubt very many DOT will even know exactly what to really look for themselves or put forth the effort to do so, well in my opinion anyways.
Thanks for posting that info @spsauerland -
Any chance I could bribe you to look up mine? I assumed the build date was in 2000 but wasn't sure how the EPA certification worked-always been curious... 6NZ35240

Can Cat or Kenworth tell me if there was any work done at their shops by running the vin or engine serial on a truck?
-
Warranty CAT work any dealer can find out. Non warranty work only that dealership group will have record of what got preformed. Sometimes you have to find what area the truck came from and phone the local dealers to track what was done with the truck.
SAR Thanks this. -
Thanks, I wasn't aware of that, but I guess that I have only checked on engines within my dealer's network.SAR Thanks this.

Simsi will list off all warranty repairs for all dealers. However the entire claim cannot be viewed. All you can do is guess off the description of the failure. Some dealers are very vague for the description like, failure : exhuast. It could mean anything.
All downloads that have been uploaded can be read by all dealers as well. -
Ok. Going to try calling Cat tomorrow and see what they can find for 6TS00904
