The typical teacher in Israel? And the typical "teacher" in an American public school? Two completely different animals. No way most would ever be able to even think about arming themselves except maybe with a sling shot

 

Emotions are strange human behavior. More children died last week due to the flu than this cowardly massacre. Perhaps we should propose constitutional admenments to combat the flu if it makes everyone feel better about themselves.

Until you address the mental health aspect of this, you accomplish nothing. The path of least resistance is always easy but seldom accomplishes much.

AR15 style weapons have been available since the mid 60's. What's the problem now?

This image is real in the sense that it has not been digitally altered (other than the text) and it appears that it was truly taken in Israel. However, this image was not taken at a school, and Israel’s school security practices make it unlikely that the armed woman in the photograph is a teacher.

The original post did say that the armed woman in the photograph was a teacher, but we are skeptical about this label, as despite what this meme says, it is not commonplace for teachers in Israel to carry weapons. A 2013 article in Campus Safety also noted that schools would likely hire soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces, police officers, or security guards to escort field trips:

Pontificating as usual. Solutions? Taking away scary looking guns maybe? Yeah that will work.
I don't see much outrage as too why this guy wasn't locked up long before this happened. Can someone answer that question or is the low and easy hanging fruit going to be guns? Just seems lazy. Idk.

 

Well, if you start locking people up every time they say something stupid or make some online "threat" that may or may not have merit, we'll be needing hundreds of huge prisons and the idea of due process and right to free speech will have to be overlooked..

He did nothing that could warrant charges.

 

Taking guns away - It really worked for Chicago and DC for all the years it was illegal to own a gun. Both reigned as murder capital of the country in the 80s. Both had tons of violence during the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Religion - LOL....I ain't touching this one, other then to say..I agree with the fellow who said it should be a personal thing.

Far as prayers, an the like...reminds me of a quote from a book I once read. "It's not that God doesn't answer prayers. It's just usually the answer is no.".

Gun registration often leads to confiscation and many despots have have ruled after. Nazi Germany is a good example where we'll meaning registration lead to tragedy.
