What is the brand of speedo? It matters. Switch settings are different on them.
-
Engine make matters also. Post your last six. Did you change axle ratio or tire size?
SAR Thanks this. -
When I had to change mine a few years ago I followed the directions that come with it, done the math, set the switches accordingly took it on a drive and the darn thing was like 30mph slow. So using the speedo on the satellite system the company I was with then had me install and the switch position list I just started going up the list till I found the magic combination.
I've heard these fancy GPS things tell you what your speed is (wouldn't know I ain't got one) if you've got one or can get your hands on one for a little bit you could do the same thing I did
It might not be 100% accurate but it should be darn close -
I have instructions for a few types. If the OP would just come back to answer my question on what the speedo manufacturer is. Why ask questions on a forum if you don't come back to find the answer?

I've wondered the same thing myself more than once
