Sounds good my friend. I ain't a driver, still got 3 years untill i can get my cdl but i'm with you guys all the way. You shut em down i'll be supporting you. The industry runs back 3 generations in my family and i'll be the 4th so its in me and yall have my support. Just curious if yall get a convoy going like they did over in PA you going to run it down I-75 here in ohio? If i see yall running between the TA in Wapak up to the Flying J in Beaverdamn i'll be sure to throw out a word of support on the cb. Yall hang in there and im pulling for you. Now i think some of theese pea brained idiots out there who don't respect what you guys do need to start doing someto you.

In order to organize a truly attention grabbing display, we must organize everyone across the country. That takes time. We would do better though to organize a nationwide shut down for 72 hrs on April first to remind everyone that they have nothing without us. This way we could make a clear statement that the fuel prices are a joke, the lack of parking is a joke, the 14 hr rule is a joke, and whatever else needs to be stated. Until we come together as a union of Truckers, we will never truly be heard. We need to get on our CBs across the nation and inform Truckers everywhere to shut down at midnight on March 31st and not to start up again before midnight on April 3rd. This statement would force the Nation to acknowledge our contributions and sacrifices to this Country each and every day. Remind this Government that we sacrifice our ability to have time with our families, to stay healthy with good food and exercise, to have basic needs met like Dr visits and haircuts. That we need to schedule our restroom visits and that we bear the responsibilities of everything. Shippers should be held accountable for overweight loads and affecting our ability to honor HOS when they refuse to load/unload in a timely manner. If we all come together in the world's largest ever "sit in" they would have to listen. If everyone (or most everyone) of the 50 million drivers we have in this country were to shut down at one time, companies couldn't fire participants for participating because they would go bankrupt. And most important, we would be heard. Truckers Unite! Sit down and fight!CorsairFanboy Thanks this.

Good job bumping 10 years old thread. How did you find it? Searched for "protest"?
Blackshack46, mrbamcclain and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
Nope...looked up why are convoys illegal...doesn't make it any less true or any less important
-
Not worth it
-
It comes to this, you want my trucks to do this, you pay for them. Unlike the latest poster, they are making money for the families of the drivers, they are putting kids through college, making donations to charities and doing more because those trucks move freight.
I believe when people complain about the conditions we work in, they failed to look in the mirror and say to themselves "I am part of the problem and not a victim of the government or mega companies. And I will do better not to be part of the problem" -
Probably in the pipe dream sectionBlackshack46 Thanks this.

So how'd that strike work for that one guy?
-
Yes, we should all get a convoy and protest what they have done to our business

The New word is Platooning. It's legal in alot of states now just read about it. It's just another word for convoy which is illegal. But Platooning is legal. Go figure.
