Hello friend. I am wondering how the Stryker, and Magnum radios working out. I know when they first came out there were some parts issues, and many of the radio shops i talked too had reservations about them. I almost bought one years ago, do not even remember the model i was looking into. I am happy with the two radios i run, and have had for years.

lol. This was i figure like anything new. They had their bugs, and issues. It would take time to iron out any issues. I like my General Lee, and Superstar 158EDX.

    Hello,

So far the Stryker 655 is working really well since I got my radio back from Mark/Fine Tune CB Shop. I get lot of great audio feedback from the drivers on channel 19. When I had my Magnum S9 few years ago it was a good solid radio with great audio.

Cleaning worked perfectly, volume has been restored. I had actually seen that video many months ago and forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me; I have volume again yay

After I cleaned the volume pot connection and buttoned the radio back up, I wonder if there are other pots just as dirty but don't cause a problem as readily observable as low volume. Doesn't make sense that only one connector is dirty and the rest are somehow clean

This problem sounds familiar to me about the striker radios. Currently on page 7 of this CB thread, there is a thread called Strikers 955 volume issue, and Craig posted a video by hard drive showing how you have to pull off and clean the cable inside the radio, that goes to the volume & squelch pot. Apparently it’s a known issue with these stryker radios. Some guys are having volume problems even when the radios only a month or two old. Not good anyway.
