I’d like to start off by saying thank you to all the members for the valuable information being shared. Like many others, I’ve lurked around this forum for a few years and decided to finally join in on the fun.
I live near Temple, Tx and have been OTR for the past 6 years. I recently started hauling frac sand in West Texas, loving it and will be doing this for the foreseeable future.
Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi!

Hey, welcome aboard. You'll find we're all bozo's on this bus. Truck'em safe.
FullMetalJacket and SleepyJ77 Thank this. -
So, now I'm a bozo.......eh?
Well, that's a point well taken, though!
201 Thanks this. -
Welcome & good to see ya! 'Bout time you came out of the shadows!
It's definately not a bad bunch round here, at all... as I'm sure you have seen. Just got to ignore a few drive by's from time to time.
Sure you will be able to offer your own nuggets of experience from time to time.

I appreciate the welcome! It’s definitely my kind of crowd. I’m looking forward to contributing!
IluvCATS Thanks this. -
Hey, if I spent 35 years in this ba-kocked industry, I'm the biggest bozo of them all, and you know what? I had a good run. Couldn't imagine doing anything else that long.taodnt Thanks this.
-
Glad to hear the over 35yrs was not in vain & was a good run. Personally, wish I would have gotten into this 30yrs ago when I had the opportunity.
Can't see myself doing anything else now, either. Even with the forever increasing bull to contend with nowadays. Man, you had it good back when........ ( At least better?).
But, I really worry about you 'ol timers that still breath amounst us today.
Word has it that there are already "black op" teams set up to come download your memories & experience in your sleep..... to make this automation stuff work. Only way they are going to get it done, bud!
I'm guessing you will sooner or later become one of those "alien abduction" stories I will read about later. Just hope you do not wind up like the cattle they find!
-
It's too late for me, save yourself. Besides, I would hope those "black ops" would have bigger fish to fry, than some old crabby trucker that bumped his head on the ceiling too many times. Hmm, visitors,,,who do I know with a black Suburban?FullMetalJacket Thanks this.
