I never understood why they are 2 piece non vented, maybe the older style were vented caps without the secondary vent and rather then redesign them they just made them non vented.
When my vents cloggedi think the caps leaked from the thread area, not sure though.
I don't know if the Pete caps leaked when the vents failed.

You go with the 430 or the 304? Is there really that much difference for a working truck? They are both 14 GA as far as I can tell?

SAR, Oxbow and Ruthless Thank this.

Both 14 gauge, I went with 430. "Paintable" and it also polishes up decent. The 304 is hot for sure, but bout double the cost when I priced them out. & if I got mirror polish i know they gonna get jacked up that much worse, that much faster.

lol they'd look better if they were mounted how I ####in WANTED!! At the bottom lip! That's the way you got to mount them, at the bottom lip or up high on the hogebuilt brackets- which I think look gay on low hanging fenders regardless of what style.

    KB3MMX and SAR Thank this.

I think one would be deaf after driving this for too long, not to mention they’d be in need of a chiropractor. If I had the extra money I’d buy it just for a conversation piece. Be great for a camp buggy in northern Maine.
