So she founf that running legal the bills don't get paid.
As she's been in the business for 14 yeas it sounds as if she's bern running illegal for most of that time.
Good riddance. This is the exact type of person the eld targeted.
Oh, and as such, you can think this type of driver for the mandate.

That's why I sold out, only difference I sold out before the mandate. She had 14 years in, I had my whole life in trucking.

 

This is the type of person, the HOS should be modified and adjusted to. Who wants to be told when to stop or take a break by some ELD box, like a brainless automaton, instead of using his own judgment? Those who have been in business for more than 10 years and at least 1 million miles accident free, should be allowed to operate without any HOS - they know how to operate safe. The HOS are good for the irresponsible and lacking confidence.

 

This person operating outside of hos for 14 years has contributed to keeping rates artificially low. The spike in rates to unprecedented high levels is proof of how common violating hos was.
