Creative ways to 34 when away from home.

Get a folding bicycle and carry it in the sleeper so it stays clean from road grime. Can get them that are electric also, in case you get tired of peddling.
Do "day trading" on the computer and make some money.

Greetings, Once you get rid of your Load. You find a Secured Parking for your Truck & Trailer, usually a nearby Fuel Stop or Truck stop. Research your nearest Local Airport. Then you research a good FUN place to visit, like a Fly In Ranch. Go to the Airport by UBER. Rent a Cessna 150/152. Fly to the Ranch, Book a room then Go Horseback riding. Next day Go back to your everyday reality and make more money. It is Fun....guaranteed.

 

I concur with Chinatown on the bicycle idea. An excellent way for any trucker to get some physical exercise into their routine.

There is actually a Facebook group for truckers with bicycles, called “Truckers With Bicycles” no less. I believe the guy who started it is/was a member here.

 

Keep in mind, if you're a company driver, that drop and bobtail idea probably won't be allowed. So, Uber/cab/bicycle/walk will be your options.

That is of course if you have enough time after waiting 6 hours for a washer and dryer to free up. Another 2 for laundry to be done. Etc.

 

In Canada a vehicle inspection must be within 24 hours .. a few of our guys got busted for that in a audit using pc during off time .. not sure if same rule applies in the USA
