Received offer letter --now what about any prior convictions

I agree that it's always best to give full disclosure however, I do believe companies do only typically go back 7 or 10 years time. Can anyone verify this or shed any light on the typical duration that companies do in-fact go back?

 

I submitted the e-docs last night online. They asked about felonies --have you ever?-- and certain misdemeanors --have you ever been convicted of x misdemeanor within the past 7 years? Based upon the questions asked I was honestly able to answer NO to all of them, so I'm good. Most of my prior convictions were driving related, e.g., reckless driving, and were 20 years ago. I had a bullet bike and was known to pull wheelies for several blocks, flee the police because they couldn't catch me accelerating hard to 140 MPH --accept for that one time : (-- and for the thrill of the chase. When I was on my motorcycle I felt invincible and seemed to have a general disregard for the law. Hey everyone is 21 once.

If I had it to do over again would I do things differently? Yes. At those speeds I'm lucky to be alive. Had I gone down at those speeds I seriously doubt that I would have made it out in one piece. And the fines really added up too.

Now I have to take my drug test. No issue there. After all us Mormon folk don't even drink coffee. At least if you're living your religion you're not supposed to. They did just give the ok on caffeinated soda, however, which was previously a no-no.
