Showroom Transport might have something.
trailershippers.com also, but don't know if they're connected to Showroom Transport or not.

Curious as to what insurance you used & your rate you were quoted. I am also in Fl. To answer your question I looked at 123Loadboard & Uship, but due to my ins quotes ($29k w/25% down) I have decided to only haul cars ($20k w//5% down) CRAZY & I have 28yrs clean CDL -A experience! Good luck, its nice hotshot drivers help ea. other out, I know for a fact big trucks (which I still haul for) are not happy w/us.

You need to find a insurance guy or gal. Look for companies that do truck insurance. No one could operate with insurance cost like that.

what do you need to start one ?

What insurance company you got your quote from

Start hitting all your local small scale used car dealers. You have the wrong trailer but as a former car dealer in FL, It's pretty common to pay hot shot guys to haul cars to and from the local auction. You might also check out some of the equipment auction houses and see if you can pick up work hauling light equipment to and from the auctions.

The reason big truck operators don't look favorably upon the hotshot segment is because the vast majority of hot shotters operate with zero sense of professionalism. Obviously not all but most.

Personally, I'd love to know how those mini 5 car haulers are legal with 5 cars on a trailer behind a F450...

What company did you get your quote
