Guys better get used to less driving time with the new qualcom system updates/etc probably. After reading about the new trucks and after having to not deal with the new bendix system I don't know if I'd want a newer truck. The lane departure going off for no reason, and the speed limit sign reading ramp/school limit signs got on my nerves. I do miss that cummins motor though.

Not real sure why thered be less driving time with the newer qualcom. Ive got the new 1 and i have no problem driving 650-700+ on most days.
Airmech and FalconsFan21 Thank this. -
But yes I agree on the lane departure and speed limit crap. Thats why I gave up my 2018 for my 2017 and I'm good driving this 1 until it starts costing me $....then I'm going to have a very hard decision to make

I'm pretty much used to mine now. The lane departure p!sses me off though. Especially when I'm in a crap mood to begin with. Speed recognition p!sses me off when it sees a school speed limit on Sunday, and when the radar gets covered with snow, that p,,,,,,,, um, yeah, I'm used to it. ROFLMAO!,,

I just know that from a trainer aspect of it I think its a unneeded distraction. My current student was pretty nervous last Monday when he got in my truck and started driving...add in other stuff beeping, throttling down, and rumbling in his ear and its a distraction I dont want them dealing with....
In my opinion anyone with a year of safe driving, no tickets, and all that good stuff should be given a truck on their 1yr anniversary that doesn't have anything but the following distance beeps. Guys fresh off trainers trucks put then in trucks that have all the bells and whistles whatever thats fine. But have a little trust in your experienced drivers who have proven over a year or more on their own they dont need that stuff anymore....if they #### up and do something to ruin their safety record after that then off they go into a truck with the bells and whistles again.
You all know my feelings about this company, and I recommend them to anyone I come across. But between the bells and whistles on the new trucks, and the fact they are getting rid of the manuals at the schools, I have a bad feeling the quality of driver that decides to come to Millis is going to go down. And as a trainer that worries me quite a #### bitAirmech, Farmer54, FalconsFan21 and 3 others Thank this. -
You just summed up all of my thoughts in one very succinct post. I've been thinking that a lot lately, just didn't have the balls to post it. Well done sir, I tip my hat to you.FalconsFan21 and Waterboy334 Thank this.

Hey I was told when I came back to Millis, from David Millis, to continue posting and dont worry about posting only positive things. If I had a complaint about something don't be afraid to post it. So I have and will continue to be honest about my feelings. I really like it at Millis and honestly have no desire to go anywhere else at all again. But I am worried about whats going to happen when my 2017 comes up for replacement. Hopefully by then this stuff in these new trucks that isnt 100% error free will be gone but I doubt it.Steelersjunkie, FalconsFan21 and Waterboy334 Thank this.
