Now I have orientation with JB Hunt in less than a week. Is this blunder something that I should tell JB Hunt? Is JB Hunt's safety department this much of a stickler?
Not hired because I was on my phone during training/unloading

What? When were you in your phone? The whole time you were getting training? While driving? I don't get it otherwise.
-
I was under training for a tank company. I wasn't on the phone while driving. I wasn't on the phone when being instructed. I only would occasionally check my phone when the hoses were set up and the liquid was being unloaded (flowing). I just want to know if this is something I need to tell JB Hunt about.

Are you afraid the principal of the tanker school is going to tattle on you or something?
Roberts450, buddyd157, Grubby and 1 other person Thank this. -
Lmao no. My concern is that JB Hunt says, "look, you weren't 100% honest in your application" and doesn't hire me. Blacklisted. And it wasn't a tanker school, it was a tanker company.

Don’t volunteer information. It isn’t a DOT violation, just a company policy. Employers are also restricted as to the information they can give about former employees. Plenty of drivers get jobs after being fired, it’s a driver’s market. Best of luck.
Bean Jr., Grubby, austinmike and 3 others Thank this. -
IF you are asked a specific question about why you left a job you had better have an answer. Don't try to hide behind any none existent privacy laws either. You might very well be asked to sign a release for JBH to get this information as a CONDITION of employment. Look, don't volunteer any information not asked for, just be ready to answer the simple question. Why did you leave? If you were terminated in a lot of situations the new employer has the right to ask, and you are required to answer it honestly.
gentleroger and Woodys Thank this. -
The thing is, I didn't include them in my past employment because I saw no reason to since I was only employed by them for a couple daysCaptainDaveG Thanks this.

(sigh)Just passing by, jammer910Z, Grubby and 3 others Thank this.
