Tractor was towed in with engine warnings on, and in shutdown mode.Active faults for soot level high, and failed regen. due to temp. Inlet DOC temp only at 425, wont go high enough to start dosing fuel. Intake throttle valve is working. Will continue on diag tomorrow. Any thoughts? Thanks.
regen failed due to low temp dtc 3711, dd15

Is the EGR valve working?
-
Sounds like EGR stuck open.

Sorry about that. Sent from home and not fully thinking. Tractor is 2013 Freightliner Cascadia with Detroit DD15. A little over 500k miles. Not a lot of history as far as aftertreatment work done.

That dpf may be clogged. It may may need cleaning. When the soot levels get too high, the truck will either have short regens or none at all. They'll have to take it off and bake the filter or how ever they clean it. You'll be down for at least 12 hrs.

Found the problem Reached a step in diag instructions to inspect valve adjustment. The engine brake solenoid on front section had come loose and was popped up out of position. After replacing O-rings, tractor did complete regen with good temps. Tractor had some work under valve cover a couple of months ago. Looks like this screw didn't get tightened enough. Thanks to all for your input.
QUALITYTRUCK and Jazz1 Thank this. -
