Pros: open road freedom, great places to eat and visit, meeting cool people, lot lizards , decent but fast money, and you gain a skill.
Cons: bad food, slow shippers and receivers at times, funky attitudes, dumb brokers and dispatchers, nitpicky dot officers, and unnecessary rules.
All in all, my experience has been pretty good. The lessons I've learned, the stories I've listened to, all has given me unbelievable wisdom. Trucking has made a man out of me. It's helped me to to see life in a different light, because you'll come across all walks of life. Beyond the money, for me, that's what has made trucking a worthwhile experience.
Pros and Cons of truck driving.

If you are over the road, your family doesn’t see you. Something to consider. If something happens at home you cannot leave your load and truck to go fix it.
