I'd just have a patch put on that, to save money. Even a "shade tree" body shop can patch it.
Some of your buddies that like to work on cars could do that real cheap.
If you're trying to save money and don't want to report it to the insurance company, do it that way.

"Shade tree" means guys that work on cars and trucks in their yard or drive-way at their house.
    Maybe @AModelCat has some ideas.

Since it's not safety related, and not readily visible at street level, I wouldn't be too concerned.
Don't mention the $25,000.00 bid to any other shop. Just say "How much to patch this so it doesn't leak water, and doesn't look too bad?"

Limited # shops work on big trucks so you have to find one who will do repair, or someone privately. If you got the time you could likely fix it yourself with some tin/rivets and fibreglass. 10 minutes:D

This is why we carry insurance. Let your insurance company handle it. Get the repair done correctly.,

Also, do you own this truck out right?

Don't you have collision and comprehensive insurance?

Go through your insurance and get your truck fixed, and in the meantime get a loaner or rental truck and carry on.

Either that or have TEC of California, Fontana order the parts and keep on driving until the parts arrive and then get a rental truck.

No, you cannot just fix the hole in your roof, it would take more labor hours to fix the hole than it would to just replace the roof cap.

Like I said in another post,

Use your insurance and get it repaired properly.

That's why you pay the big bucks for insurance, if you're not going to use your insurance, than why have it?

Even if you had a shade tree mechanic try to repair it, the repair would be noticeable and it will likely start cracking and falling apart in a few years.

If you can't afford to fix a two year old truck, you can't afford to be in business.

    Pay once, cry once.
