Exactly, that is why I am asking you guys about basic informations like how mich do I need to take per mile olis minus to calculate everything, so all I need to do is call to comoanies, take informations about average miles per week, calcilulate then fules, tolls etc and see how much will stay in my pocket after that, would like to try on my own but need to find good company

It depends , anywhere from $750 to $1200 to $1300 with a night load. Remember it’s not how much you earn, it’s how much you keep!
I know many guys who make $4k a week or double that but it’s not the gross , it’s the net and quality of life. I like to be home every night , although with the ELD’s I ll spend a night or two in the truck . As a owner operator for general trading I bought a day cab cash for $6500 . I ran that truck for 2 years before I bought a restaurant. I only broke down once, had a air compressor go. Other than a few flats and maintenance. I used maybe 20 to 30 gallons of fuel a day , plus tolls. If I grossed $4k , I easily netted $3500 for little miles and home every night. You earn it though. You won’t see any fat boys with a gallon of Mountain Dew sitting on the dash there !Lol! That job will keep you in shape.
I did that work in the mid 90’s and it was very good money and it’s still the same set up. I live upstate ny now and do other work , and at 53
I’m not really sure this body wants to handle cases any more.
I just recently bought a diner on the highway up here
And once that’s up and running I think I’ll be hanging up my driving career, but I’ve said that a few times before!

Your welcome.Good Luck. A solid Pre Emmision day cab , 2007 or older (I know they still have EGR but no nitemare DEF/DPF) like a CH Mack for $10-$15K for example is a perfect truck for that work. Like I said there’s owner operators there for over 20 years , making a good living, home everyday. It’s physical work , but profitable. Good Luck!

Well the first thing I do when they tell me I will get X miles, I use 60% of that number because most of the time you don't want to have the best case scenario but the worst one. If this still works, then I lower the number until I get to the break even point.
