I live in Ont. and the new law just plain sucks. I drive a company truck after I sold my trucks 2 years ago after 24 years as an O\O. The truck I drive is castrated to 60 mph and I drive 95% of my miles in the US and driving 60 mph in KY and Tenn is just plain dangerous to everyone around me as well as me. This is a good example of what a split speed limit will do in Ont. Slow trucks vs. fast cars = crunch! not to mention the danger of passing someone driving slow and the needle stops at 105 cause we all know alot of four wheelers speed up while being passed by a semi whether its intentional or just something they do unknowingly (haven't figured this one out yet). You western guys that will travel east to Ont. I don't know how you will tolerate 105 across the prairies. I travelled Man. Sask. AB. BC. for alot of years and know that it will be tough. I bought the software and cable from Ebay last year to change the ECM on a Detriot Diesel engine (this is the complete pkg. to diagnose and change whatever you want including speed) Takes longer to start laptop than it does to change your governed speed. I guess alot of guys are going to be looking into this option so they can run legal in Ont. and once across West Hawk at the Ont./Man. border or the US border they can turn up the speed again.

That law really says alot for the people in charge since the speed limit on the 401 is 100 kph

Yes the laws for Ontario and Quebec are basically the same and they are both set to go into effect on January 1.:biggrin_2553:
