How's their health insurance program?

Do they have a tire buying program? Oh, wait...here it is in the brochure.....

"Pleased are we, kind sir, to bless you with 500 brand new Michelin drive tires, and 100 steer tires. Upon receipt of us by you of 200 Michelin drive tires, we can release to ship the 600 Michelins gratefully to you, kind sir.".....

 

I see trucking associations as a collection of Company owners who should be at home with the wife and kids if the night dispatcher is doing well, that phone will not be ringing with problems.

Here in Arkansas we have tons of them. They like to go to DC eat 50 dollar salads while trying to tell a Senator someone or other how to run the country. (Lobbying etc) I don't have that much of a good impression of these kinds of associations.

And the results of those lunches always seem to be greater and more severe tightening of the thumbscrews on us poor drivers who are nothing to these suits. Just replaceable some day in the future when the time and money makes it a wise decision to do so.

I had the opportunity to work with a Nigerian man awhile back. Nice guy and wasn't a crook.

He said the Nigerian scams were a real problem for legitimate Nigerian business people trying to do overseas business. Everybody thinks they are trying to scam them.

It was a big joke with him from all the Americans working with us, he was good natured about it.

 

Ooida is what we use.

 

OOIDA is us too. At least there Trying to fight for us. Unlike the others.
