This driver had me going until, he started stating issues that he personally has with CRST. You are not commited to take a load while on hometime, turn your phone off if you don't want calls from them, or better yet get caller id and don't think about answering them. What's wrong with them asking, they need help, they ask, you say no. Simple as that, there is no write up, suspension, termination for that. I have worked for CRST for 2 years, had some problems, but still here, putting money in my pocket, on July 15th., picked up brand new truck from OKC OK, 34 miles on it, which now DEC. 28th has 101,724 on it, and I am a trainer. (Company trainers run less miles than Company team operators because of status of NEW student). But I still have a great amount of miles, considering.
You had me going until you started bashing, but I now have to say, "you are digruntled"!!! Sorry.

I am with the one who is stating that complaining about small things are harder on you than them. I AM a driver, and I have came unto these situations before. BUT, think on this. This year, myself, a company owned truck driver, opted to purchase 8 chains out of my pocket. Big deal, do the math, add it together..... My company wants their trucks to share chains, only purchasing chains enough for 40% of their 3500 trucks. I would rather buy them, own them, even give them to another driver, OH, and be able to move that load I would have to give up because of no or not enough chains, and make no money. It will come back to you, if you look at it in the rightr way. YOU are talking of a 3.50 bottle of washer fluid. I buy those all the time, BIG DEAL...... Go get a job at McDonalds, they GIVE you free bigf macs, should suite you just fine. It is all part of the job.

Would the school be able to put you with a different company? I would certainly ask anyways.

I don't pay for anything that is fluids or equipement. Maybe you are rich or something but those things are the companies responsiblitiy.

If you want to pay out of pocket for things that your company should pay for, then by all means do it. Don't belittle someone else for not wanting to though.

I drive for crst yes I've found the bad things there a training company what do you expect they expect you to stay only eight months and leave . If more drivers had better attitudes and didnt just bounce before eight months maybe things would be better . Me and my trainer/codriver aint gotten great miles since he started training me but hey he had to stay up the first week 14 hours with me but after christmas things should look up . All you have to do is keep a positive attitude and STOP finding all the negatives . I dont know about you but I dont have 4000 dollars to pay them back so yes I will ride out my eight months and maybe stay maybe not it all depends on me and my goals in life .

You must be the type that has no family, single and not much dept. It may be ok for you to pay for company stuff that should be paid by them. You train? Yup one of those trainers who makes all of his money off the trainees. I bet if you were driving solo you wouldn't be talking trash like that.. And yes I do expect a smart aeirs come back..

I'll agree with this statement, but I don't think you understood what I said.

Okay, and what did you pay for those?

    I'm waiting...

Well, I guess that the rest of the fleet has to stay out of the "chains required" states, doesn't it?

Well, I reckon some people are just generous to their own peril. I'll tell you one thing. If I buy my own chains, they are MINE, NOT the company's, and they will certainly NOT be loaned to anybody else. With my luck I'd never see them again. And, they go with me when I leave.

Big deal, hell. EVERYBODY buys washer fluid. Who are you trying to kid here? Tell us something we DON'T already know.

BUT, if I'm buying washer fluid I certainly intend to be paid back for it, along with just about every other driver on the road today.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with buying washer fluid. I DO have a problem with not getting paid back for it. I refuse to take it up the backside from ANY company in this regard, and any such outfit that's too cheap to reimburse me such necessary expenditures does NOT deserve my services.

As for your little "McDonalds" comment, I see you just signed up here, so I suggest you keep such cracks to minimum before you find yourself booted out of here just as fast as you appeared.

How dare you insult every other driver who feels they should be reimbursed for their road expenses?!? Attitude problems like the one you appear to have are NOT well-received here.

I trust that I've made myself clear.

Just got back from my 3rd month on to my 4th month now. Yay, 2cent raise lol. Anyways my 2nd co driver got fired for making a bad turn into mud and got stuck but CRST marked it as a U-turn. He's trying to get that settled right now. That was not the only problem tho there was others that probably lead to his layoff. So I had to deadhead to the terminal in the east coast and was there for about 3days. Found a co driver and drove back to the terminal. Boy it was a strange week.

I wanted to take the greyhound home but they said i would be on my own if i choose to do that. I don't think they can do that if i wanted to go home because i did not like my 3rd driver just to get back home. I felt forced to do something I did not want but still at least i got paid to go home. Anyways, I was picking up a load to get back home (2k miles) and 1mile before I got to the shipper the dispatcher changed the load and gave us two different relay loads just to get home. Sounds a bit fishy to me. The dispatcher response was "uh well, I gave it to someone with home time."

Just remember there are good dispatchers still willing to work with you at CRST and bad ones that just don't like you for who you are. I've spoken to many experianced CRST drivers and they all agree some dispatchers are A-ho's.

No good drivers to partner up with list:
    A-ho's
Non helper if needed to wake up
the kicking and screaming for something or nothing
-the little things that can be tolorated but not tolorated because hes an idiot
    he's the boss
    know it all
    selfish #######
gotta stop now or else ima scream at you for not going to wal-mart
i gotta have this hot chocolate in the morning or i cant live without it
he tells you to drive him somewhere you don't want to
    forceful

and last but not least, mental problems, stay up for 3days in row, gangster, jail time with felony, smoker when his hookup paper says hes not, etc. You will find alot of messed up people at CRST i found out the hard way. Only funny when your not driving with them.

Happy holidays and safe trips with high milage at places that are safe

I never said you should not get your money back. BUT, come on are you going to base your opinion on the fact that you can't get reimbursed for a 3.50 bottle of washer fluid??? Oh my!!! If that ticks you off, I can only imagine how you manage when something serious happens.. Chains??? Paid just shy of $400. And I would not give them away if I need them, only when I am finished.
As for your threat, yes, I just signed on, BUT, I believe it is my right to stick up for what I believe. And frankly, after reading all the crap, lies, misinterpretations, and misunderstandings about a Company I work for, well, it would better me to NOT read this forum. Life is what you make it, if you don't like it, go somewhere else. Nobody is insulting anyone. But, I would not let $3.50 ruin my day. This is an opinionated forum, and I have given just that, my opinion. Frankly, your threat has insulted me.. Have I made myself clear? Happy New Year!!
