You guys aren't going to like this...but any ticket you get in your personal vehicle will carry over to the CSA2010 stats...it is a Commercial Drivers License...all stats will be forwarded by the DMV to CSA. got that direct from our safety dept....sorry!

    From the Texas Transportation Code:

    http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/inspection/rules_list.asp?itemdrop=Exhaust+System
What part of ALL MOTOR VEHICLES do you not understand? There is NO exemption in the law for CMV's. If you remove the mufflers, you are in violation of the law and CAN be ticketed by ANY officer who chooses to write the citation. It doesn't matter WHAT type of vehicle you are in...motorcycle, car, pickup, or semi tractor.

Maybe you ought to read the friggin law before you try giving advice about it, because so far every piece of advice you have given has been flat out WRONG!

Now our safety department said CSA2010 goes off of inspection reports. If you don't get an inspection report, it doesn't count.

For example, I got a warning ticket for mudflaps being too short last summer in Texas...and it wasn't on the CSA2010 printout the company gave me because there was no "official" inspection performed.

Just more confusion to look into to see what exactly is going on....:biggrin_25521:

I got a seat belt ticket a few months back in my pickup and no one where I work could care less. I told my boss and he said: "Oh, that sucks". That's all the further it got. :biggrin_25525:

Might depend on how the ticket was written. What was the infraction(s) noted?
