I'm curious, if you don't have your own numbers, where could you run a glider or a pre 2000 truck and not have to deal with elds? Are there companies you can lease onto that allow you to run older trucks/gliders on paper logs or is this now reserved to straight up o.o's with their own numbers & insurance?

The big guys aren't going to let you do that. Maybe some smaller van or reefer outfit would. I'd say find a cattlehauler outfit they'll go for that.

Instead of looking for a company that will encourages you to break hos to make any money, why not simply look for a company that pays better?

Maybe it's a company that pays the same and doesn't go ####### if you push your hours to maximize your pay? You don't get the nice looking rig and decent acreage off sitting around 10 hours a day because" government knows best"shorty102292, RET423, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.

I am leased to the flatbed division of a very mega megacarrier. They allow pre-1999 trucks to follow the regulations. They are super strict that if we have violations, or turn in logs late, well be on ELD. So far, so good.
