Yes, mine are the same. I do have to sign the main area and the no deficiencies or deficiencies area as well.

I'm really struggling to get my 42 days of training in with Swift. I hope it's only because of the holidays, but I have been waiting for my new mentor to get a load since Fri. Just got paid and it's ugly!

Did you read the fine print on the contract before you signed on the dotted line?
I sign contracts almost on a daily basis and if I don't understand a term or a passage, I call the shipper or the broker to make sure we are absolutely clear on any definition or requirement.
Try a smaller carrier who needs to have a dependable driver in your area.
Or try a contractor, depending on your CDL endorsements, You can drive a dump, tanker, low-bed, ect....


This is excellent advise and very much appreciated by someone about to become a new, inexperienced driver. This kind of advice coming from someone who has as many years of experience as you do is helpful to all new drivers who are willing to listen and learn. Thanks Ron-MARS Trucking!

I would rather pass along the benefit of my experience and save new people from the hassles. I had some help from the beginning and it's my turn to help others along.

 

Were your failing to fill out logs? Were you filling out the logs incorrectly? Were your trying to run illegal? Were you running a legal log when the company was looking for a idiot to run illegal? Were you turning them in late? How many warnings did you have?

 

Could you explain the violations you had? If nothing else, it may save another driver from making the same mistake.
