Honestly its the entire rocky mountain chain. Az,nm,co,ut,wy,mt,id. In 20+years i can count on one hand how many decent loads I've gotten out of there.

11 days since the enforcement deadline and there is no visible rate impact. Maybe there were not that many outlaws, as it was generally thought, to make any bigger capacity vacuum.
2018 is still very strong...worth going out there but the beginning of April is evidently worse than March and March was worse than February for me, January was the best month ever. With a dry van, so far I've managed to average 2.91 per mile while loaded and $2.30 on all but the trend is pushing downward. Also Chicago load volume decreased quite a bit. I can't remember when was the last time I saw more than 3000 loads available within 100 mile radius here. I am still surprised that you can leave here for over 3$ per mile out-east or south on more than 500 mile hauls. It is also worth noticing that the fuel cost per mile increased almost by 10 c compared to the same time last year.

I'm focusing on staying in the NW (Oregon) with my dry van. One thing I've decided is that deadhead miles are sort of irrelevant IF I end up getting the all miles rate I can live with.

Here's my numbers for the month through tomorrow the 12th. Also, in those 12 days, I will of been home 9 nights sleeping in my own bed. Not too bad.

Also, lumber brokers obviously haven't gotten the message that ELD's were supposed to drive up rates. They're what they have been for years it seems to me. I refuse to haul their crap.

A 7000LB load of empty cans from Nichols ny to ayres, mass something like 315mi is paying 1400. Up the 495 30 more minutes to Methuen is paying 1550.

My dad took a load out of National pipe in Endicott, ny (old location used to be old vestal rd) to Johnstown pa 268 mi the way we went. 187 down to wysox 220 414 14 to the 15/I99 to us219. Anyways another 1500$ open deck no tarp load.

In the hot markets like pa its not that hard to avg over 12-1300 a day and be home at night

Really? To Move for IKO you must carry 2 million general- Plus minimum of 10 trucks

Pretty sure your moving for Brokers out of there- And they aren't really that Good of rates.

I Move direct for them (Grandfathered in) and Local Moves to Chicago pay a Modest Rate- Nothing Special

Yes its brokered,.. and I've done 5 loads out of there over the last couple weeks and not a single one for under $3 mi. $2400 to Rosedale, Md,.. roughly 730mi,.. did that one last week.

I picked up out of there this morning,.. heading down to Tampa. $3900 on roughly 1200 mi. Rates are just fine for me.

    So, that's $2.10/mile.

Company I'm leased on to is looking at around $3+ for all miles, dry van, running the same region.
