As far as the Ottos... the idea of being a bottom paid gofer fetching computer trucks coming and going from the gate is menial labor or worse. There is no joy in that. I wont live to see 2030 so you young ones can have it. Ha.

Car haulers would be first to go . Cars just drive them selves to the dealer .

 

It would be even sweeter if they programmed themselves to drive off cliffs. Of course thats a problem in the cliff-free south, so the Mississippi River would be fine too.

Yes Fox had a segment on the website that Otto is done, kaput. Written off. Scrapped. It's gone Jim. The people in the entire Otto division will be hunted for other work elsewhere in the company structure doing something not related to Otto because there is no more Otto. If a position cannot be found then that worker will be given a hefty severence pay.

They do however want to concentrate on Uber Freight. In the past Ive cracked jokes about owning a warehouse full of widgets and whistling up 18 wheelers with Uber over the cell phone on the spot. Well.. many someones have been working hard to make this a going concern.
