Lambton OPP have charged a 38-year-old Woodstock tractor-trailer driver who they say was hauling a flammable product on Highway 402 Monday morning after consuming three times the legal limit of alcohol.

The man was busted near Nauvoo Road. In their statement, OPP gave a “huge shoutout” to the concerned motorists who called to report erratic driving.

The man was driving a red 2015 Peterbilt tractor trailer, towing a dual trailer containing 63,500 kilograms of propane, police said.

He faces three charges: driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor, being impaired while driving a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

“The driver provided a (breath) sample nearly three times the legal limit,” police said in the statement.

    i just don't get it.

why do any of these drivers do this?

should be a permanent loss of a license on the first offense.

even to include a car and or motorbike.

that should send a very strong message to these people, that ALL driving privileges are no longer allowed.

    done deal.

That must have been a real interesting trip once that liquid bomb got sloshing in that tanker.

Driving drunk in a vehicle that does not do much is one thing. But a tanker like that? that must have been amazing.

But what's really sad is that they caught him near a fabled road some took to leave this world we live in.

If he drank that much to generate 80 mg into blood that must have been a amazing amount. I don't know how to convert alcohol into MME daily but if Codeine was substituted it would not have taken as much. Id say he's a hopeless case long before they got to him finally.

Dual trailer containing 63,500 kilograms of propane. Isn't that just fine reporting?

Good job @x1Heavy, you're a blessing to us all.

Is 63,500 kilograms wrong or something?

140000 lbs of propane plus the weight of the equipment seems a tad bit unlikely.

I wonder if there is some sort of a intern or ex medical on here capable of math to convert MME to Alcohol. They say prince died with about 68.7 micrograms to liter of his blood of Fentnyal. I looked up Codieine as a liquid and it's really pathetically small in MME per dose. I think it's only about 12 mg with one table spoon. You would have had to drink a ocean of that stuff to approach whatever that alcohol level was at in 1 liter of blood.

I personally have been roughly .29 a few times when tested in drinking which is several times the legal limit of .08 and once I was beyond that into the mid 30's unable to do anything for two weeks. (That was a amazing drink, empty bottle one time stay drunk whole month.)

I don't know the pain killing ability of Alcohol in MME Terms against Pain Medicine by blood volume.
