yesterday was a long day...drove around all day getting prepared for Roehl. had to get my passport, Roehl needed me to fax them some paperwork, and i had no ink or paper to do so, so i had to go buy all that stuff... had to get my license plates renewed on the car and then it happened........ a local company i applied for called me for a job. WoW i never saw that coming! sooooooo... i've decided to go with the local job and finish raising my kid...we'll see what happens in six years when she's grown. guess this will be my last Roehl post. good luck to all ! >--->

Good luck to you, bowmeyer. I hope you've researched the local company enough to know they're not going to go bankrupt during these tough times. That's one of the benefits of working for a large company like Roehl with no debt--you might not get the miles you want, but at least the company will still be there when you're waiting for your next dispatch.

Well in yet another twist of fate (and the story of my life) the local job didnt pan out so i've e-mailed Roehl and told them if they still have my paperwork...im available. we'll see what happens in " As the Bowmeyer1 Turns " . I could kick myself sooooooooo many times. If I hear anything...i'll let you know.

Sorry to hear about your local job falling through, but there will be others come open in your area; just keep applying for them. After I was with Roehl for 5 months I started submitting an application for every local job that was posted on Monster or Craigslist. I would check for them every day when I parked that big red truck, or when I was sitting hours waiting on loads.
Only took a month and I hit an interview for an hourly paid gig and got hired and said bye to big red. Good luck and be patient, things have ways of working themselves out. Even if you have to do the time, if you want to be home with the family things will open up to ya in 6 mos. or 1 year of servitude. Some things just take time! Good luck again!bowmeyer1 Thanks this. -
thanks.....i have so many apps in i need a program to keep up anymore. i'll figure it all out. not sure if i'll end up driving.....but i'll figure it out.
