..i just saw a 2007 KW on eBay with over 685K on it, figuring let's say it's 30 months old, that avg's out to over 22k a month, 5.7k a week! I'd like to know how you can get those kind of miles each week unless you drive team & if you do, I'd like to know the company that can get u those miles every week! I'm sure some of you have seen or heard of more mileage than this one has, wonder what the record is?

lots of miles & still lookin good!

I just now seen that myself. That truck must have been doing some serious running to get that kind of mileage in such a short period of time.

I'd guess mostly rural Interstate, probably out west, and isn't probably governed too low.

I know Tower Transport does that team driving and they put a lot of miles on those things. I recently had one of them in...it was an 08 and out of warranty!

Its possible the truck was put into service in summer of 06. I bought my 07 in Aug 06. That would lower the weekly/monthly mileage a little.

..yes, i added 6 months to 24 becuz the ad said what month & year is was purchased, so my mileage calculation was pretty close to when it would have been on the road.. also not factored in would have been down time like in the shop, routine maintenance, & hometime when not being driven unless it was slip-seated.. either way it's still a lot of miles!

Fed ex ground could get you that many miles. when I worked for a friend of mine that had trucks on with them we were getting 6k miles a week. There was a team out of texas running 2 rounds from dallas to hartford getting around 7k miles a week. In my opinion if you have to team and are in the truck for basically 6 days a week anything under 7k miles a week leaves you sitting around too much, but they had drivers complaining about 5k miles a week being too much. BTW the truck we were driving was an 03 and as of friday it had 1.7 million on it, governed at 67 running boston to milwaukee 3 times a week

The truck I just drove is an '08 with 357K on it, so it is on the same schedule as that one as far as miles go. These trucks turn east coast to west coast, team gets out, another team gets in, does same, repeat.

You can really rack up miles when the wheels only stop for maintenance and repairs.
