How would one adapt to modern day society, after being in prison for 40 years is a question I'd have to ask.

I remember a story in the 1980s about a guy who had been in prison for 15 years. He escaped and kidnapped a woman in her car. He wanted to eat, but was afraid of going in a restaurant. She told him they could just go through the drive-thru. He thought she was trying to trick him. He had never heard of a drive-thru window.
