Thank you Old Iron for the detailed response. I'll have to get in touch with the trailer dealer now to get the lengths for the jeep and the trailer before i make the plunge.
    Thanks

Must be a super long stretched frame. I've got a Volvo 730 which is big 77" sleeper and 53' spread axle flatbed. Believe tractor is around 240-250. Total length is about 75 I believe. Trust me, wouldn't own anything 1" bigger as a job site last week I used every space possible and my trailer came within 6" - 1' from hitting the side of a building.

Actually we are about same length. With my 53' flat I'm about 75' so guess it is just an average tractor. I read it too fast.

Have you ever actually measured it? Some states require a permit for anything over 75 ft over all length. Florida absolutely enforces that.
My wheel base is either 280 or 285 according to the spec sticker in the glove box, but not at the truck so can't look to verify and for whatever reason i keep mixing it up in my head with one of my old petes. Also I just had to measure the tractor from bumper to mudflap for an od load permit in Ohio but i can't remember what it came out to be, and again I'm not at the truck to check my measurement sheet i keep in the permit book.

I believe we are just under the 75' mark. Have done a few oversize loads and have had to measure it for that. But we are legal in all 48 states.
