Bett T's restaurant is still there but not a truckstop. The food is great and generous portions too. There are not too many of the good old stops left if any.

The food is good in the restaurant

That's the stop I was thinking of... Jimmie's. Any t/s that has parking late at night is my favorite. Extra kudos if there's a Waffle House within walking distance.

Most of the good truck stops in Florida have closed over the years. My favorite was the old truck stop in Plant City, at the junction of I-4 and Florida highway 39. Don't know what the real name was, but they had the best strawberry shortcake when it was in season. 40 Acre in Lakeland was a bit of a dive, but it had good food too.
