Technically the weight on the BOL is suppose to match the weight on the wagon. In your case probably doesn't matter but? A BOL is a legal document.
Tell your boss and let them deal with it.

you scan your BOL AND your weight ticket (assuming CAT scale) so, your genious office people should catch any mistakes and act accordingly, right ?

Another problem is .What if the dispatch says pick up 2 more skids a 2.000 lbs each at a different location and delivers around the corner from receivers or even delivers in the same place
