Possibly bad egr

    Good day everyone. what is the symptoms of bad egr valve for volvo d-13 engine? What I have is rpm jumps up and down at idling. I suspect egr valve is sticking.

    this is a possibility most of the time this happens is actually the turbo waste gate messing around. you will have a code if the egr is sticking or stuck open for egr flow being to high coupled with a really lazy truck regen temps will never make up to actuall spec and fuel economy down the drain.

    If this were a DD 15/13 it would be the fuel quantity valve.

    turbo was replaced recently and actualy it start doing that after

    try to calibrate the VGT or remove and check the stroke make sure full stroke is going on i've had a few times that i have put a turbo on and it has been bad from the get go. make sure the stroke checks out fully
