Avoca restricts 102" wide trailers through downtown on 11. The road isn't wide enough to accommodate the wider vehicles due to street parking.

It's not a weight restriction, it's a length restriction. In PA, the center of your trailer tandems can't be more than 41' back from the kingpin on the trailer.

Every state has a rule like that. Look at the weight and length section in the front of your atlas and you'll see the kingpin rule for each state. Most are 41' from the kingpin to the center of the tandem assembly. Some, like Rhode Island, limit it to 41' from the kingpin to the center of the rear tandem axle. California has its own stupid rule also, something like 40'

Yea the communist state is 40' to center of back axle.

Was it a trooper that got you, or a local talent?

There is a section (if you look at the Scranton city inset map on page 88 of the Rand road atlas) over the Susquehanna River and through Pittston that is not an STAA route.

By the sounds of it, it's a restriction on the width of your trailer. 102 is the "new" width and 96 was the old. If if lines up with your tandems you're fine, but if it overlaps them by a few inches you're 102. And by the way. Is it that hard to use vowels in all your words? Reading every post of yours gives me a headache.
