Not really. It’s The fuel tax that’s expensive not the fuel.....since PA like....doubled it. But If you didn’t know about the 41 ft trailer wheelbase rule and aren’t interested in trial by mail then I’ll let someone else go down the IFTA rabbit hole. As a lease operator, who files your IFTA?

Ok. Two hours wait versus a 800 dollar cost.

Ive lost 9 hours or more on fatals above Nashville a few times. Totally destroys the appt schedule and so on waiting for them to remove the bodies etc and clear the blocked interstate.

I miss the old 48 foot 96 inch trailers because you can get them into places you cannot legally take a 102 or 53. And I ran em everywhere.

A spot of bother on 81 for a couple hours is a good day. Anything more than that you might as well get into the nearest truckstop and go get dinner and schedule your appt time.

Im not your opponent. You did well writing about that ticket, the situation and answers. It's up to you how you want to make this go away and move on with your work.

Oh by the way, Im suspecting the local laws know darn well that part of 81 is all messed up at that hour and staked out that 11 waiting for people to try and go around long and wide. Nice tickets too in terms of revenue.

    1. Ask for a hearing.
    2. Go to the hearing.
    3. When the judge asks what your defense is, just tell him that you know me.

Now that was funny. Bridge law had nothing to do with the kind of bridge you drive over or under.

Correction, had, I haven't seen one at a rest area in a few years, so I asked this trip, at the welcome center on 78 and the attendant told me they no.longer have them.

You might find one somewhere else, but short of contacting Pendot to ask, I doubt you'll find one, I have a few at home if I can find them.

On the bridges near Pittsburgh, thats a can of worms all its own. Like doubles allowed on one while tandem axles are not, that kind of thing abounds.

I do need to look at a new atlas about New Jersey truck routes, I suspect it's a matter of looking the other way, unless there is a reason not to.

I wish we had some trailers not marked 53 foot, too. The 96 wide is another, the swinging trailers that come to the plant are 96 inch by 48 foot. Those appear narrow now.

Straight in, 26 standard pallets sometimes make closing the doors hard on a 53, though.

Has nothing to do with mistakes or perfection. Everyone screws up. The point is you didnt tell us the whole story. In the OP You let on you were just driving down US11 and got popped for no reason. I suppose that’s also why you only showed a portion of the ticket. You have no quarrel with me I was just trying to give you the benefit of my experience.
