You don’t seem to understand how fuel is priced at the pump, which is odd for a fellow that files his own IFTA returns. Do you get a refund every quarter or do you have to pay? What states do you run?
got a nice fat ticket. ruined my day

Pennsylvania IFTA withholding is like $0.73 gallon.
That money is credited toward your IFTA taxes.
So actually you are paying about $3.07 gallon.
You need to understand IFTA or you're wasting probably $2,500 or more a year by fueling in the wrong places.
You're company should also have several sort of discount for you on their fuel card.
If they don't, get your own. That's another $5,000 year that should be in your pocket.brian991219, KB3MMX, stwik and 2 others Thank this. -

But you said you were a lease operator renting a truck and trailer. I am now starting to understand why don't you know the bridge law, trailer wheelbase rules etc.
I have been trying to figure out your deal since your OP.
You gross $3500/wk
You pay for fuel
You don't file IFTA
You don't pay IFTA
You rent a truck and trailer.
How much is your truck and trailer rent?
Is it rent or a lease?
Do you have a buy back option?
Who pays repairs and maint?
Do you have your own DOT# and MC#?KB3MMX and spyder7723 Thank this. -

That's what I'm wondering about, I wasn't there so I can't see if there is a sign posted. BUT I do know I have three driver who were pulled over by barney a few weeks back and they were issued warnings about some of the roads in the area and were told no trucks then turned around.

IL was good about not posting signage, and then referring you to a map not for sale, but the fine was much less.
Rand McNally is located in IL, too. Some of the atlases were correct and later ones in error. Looking for the highlighted route wasn't enough, but actual enforcement varies by area, beware of Will County.KB3MMX Thanks this.
