As a Student, I am inquiring: What do truckers do while waiting 4 hours to unload?

If unloading and not pre planned I was communicating with company. If pre planned I went to sleep. If loading I was planning out my trip. Then going to bed. Sleep. That is my answer.

I have no idea. I have always been a local hauler home every night. But I guess it depends on what dock you go to. I used to work the docks at cold storage and the driver would come in and tell me he is gonna go take a nap. I said ok, I’ll bang on your sleeper to wake you up. I could see how some dock workers are miserable and cop and attitude if they were required to do that. I was always an understanding guy that truckers are tired and want to get some shut eye whenever they can
