Building A C15 Cat Using C18 Crank And Rods

I just don't like the idea of having a thinner liner wall with the C-18 liners. You can make a mean c-15 with the acert assembly. And have a dependable engine.

 

That issue is blown out of proportion, when th liners are secured properly there is not an issue.

 

Yeah I agree, but still 7.2 stroke throw is alot of side pressure on a thinner liner.

Sounds about right to me. Tune the 18 properly and it will make more power. The way that was done they are putting the same fuel etc. in a bigger space and the dynamic compression would be down.JMO

 

With the same efficiency bigger is better. A bigger turbo and such can only do so much.
