I just don't like the idea of having a thinner liner wall with the C-18 liners. You can make a mean c-15 with the acert assembly. And have a dependable engine.

Yeah I agree, but still 7.2 stroke throw is alot of side pressure on a thinner liner.

I was thinking about doing that one day finding a truck with a c15 in need of a rebuild and put a c18 in its place

Sounds about right to me. Tune the 18 properly and it will make more power. The way that was done they are putting the same fuel etc. in a bigger space and the dynamic compression would be down.JMO

With the same efficiency bigger is better. A bigger turbo and such can only do so much.
