I guess my "patience" for nut jobs making threats against my family or me is "low" too. I would have called police at the first threat... not wait 2 days and then consult with TTR.

Maybe, but if you end up having to take matters into your own hands then you can at least say that you tried to let the authorities handle it....

 

Used to live there and they would respond but not all the time.

I think Toronto has the same issue, I have family up there and they took 30 minutes to respond to a stabbing.

Where I live now, I have a five minute response time, and I am in a rural area.

 

Toronto is head and shoulders above Detroit when it comes to police services...

 

I suggest naming the company and individuals involved and posting this in the "bad company" forum .... bring the full power and fury of TTR forum to bear on their sorry #####...

 

In places like Baltimore the police are worthless and if something actually goes to court the judges never do anything more than a slap on the wrist. I know this from first hand experience on both sides of the fence. The only thing calling the police around here are good for is to establish a paper trail so after you're done defending yourself from your attacker you'll have the necessary evidence to take to court to defend yourself from the State. The very same people you run to for help will be the very same people who will attempt to prosecute you. Ironic considering you're the victim from day one.
