I eat pretty clean and practice intermittent fasting or one meal a day. I’m just seeking out what others may or may not be doing.

To be fair, he does raise a salient point whether you agree or not. I also think that you have a valid point as well. Not everything is black and white.Bob Dobalina, jsnell and Skytz33 Thank this.

I started vapeing about 5 yrs ago and I have not had a cigarette since. With vape juice, you can pick the exact amount of nicotine that you want (from 0% all the way up to several times the amount in one cigarette). It is probably not as bad for you as cigarettes but I seriously doubt that it is entirely safe either. It just hasn't been widely used for long enough to see the what the long term effects will be.
A word of advice if you do decide to take up vaping. Stay away from the cheap stuff that they sell in truck stops and convenience stores. I recommend going to a local vape shop and investing in a high quality tank and battery, and most importantly, high quality juice. Your experience will be infinitely better if you use a quality rig and high quality American made juice.Troy_, snowlauncher, jsnell and 2 others Thank this. -
Drinking water and staying hydrated helps a lot, more than you'd think. It's hard to know when you are dehydrated because the effects come on so slowly. Like a frog siting in a pan of water on the stove, it will sit there and get cooked before it knows whats going on.D.Tibbitt, Intothesunset, Jazz1 and 1 other person Thank this.

I quit chewing gum 2 years ago. Quit cold turkey! Dentist said I chew too much was making teeth sensitive. Bought my sugarless bubblegum by the case.
Lots of truckers have no teeth or poor teeth, the effects of grinding them when on the "black beauty diet" Chewing gum saved the teeth of manyIntothesunset, CrappieJunkie and Skytz33 Thank this. -
Age is also a huge factor. Vintage folks(over 40) just need less sleep and less trouble staying awake. I don't even blink at night compared to 40 years ago when I was having to pull over for 20 minute naps in the middle of the night. It sucked, driving tired is not just dangerous but too much like WORK!Intothesunset, KillingTime, Skytz33 and 1 other person Thank this.

Saw a documentary a while back actually have watched it a few times now about what drinking and eating sugar will do to ya those 7 up's Doctor Peppers etc etc seen people with next to no teeth i guess one can just eat through a straw hey? Best thing is always natural there are some foods that will keep you awake such as Salmon, eggs, oranges, some foods make you sleepy such as cheese, some meats walnuts and milk, the key is to eat the right foods at the right time to either help you stay awake or help you sleep. Having a big feed right before you go off driving is a sure thing to make you sleepy.Intothesunset, Skytz33 and Puppage Thank this.
