Hi Twista89, could you please elaborate a little bit on the "you have to be unloading a multi-compartment everyday" part? How exactly does it work at Schneider on Ecolab account? Is it something of your choice or you get more work (loads/unloads , weekend work) based on seniority? I'm going through the hiring process for Ecolab account and interested in some details. Not enough posts to send a privet message and asking here. Thanks!

Just as I mentioned it. Ecolab is more work than a normal tanker account. You have to suit up in a rubber chemical suit everyday. Since I left Schneider and went back to normal tanker hauling I’ve suited up 3 times in 4 months in my rubber suit. Multi compartments mean you have 2-4 different products to unload at 1-2 different locations. Sometimes you have to make both locations in the same day, sometimes one day after the next. Sometimes they all go to the same place. But you have to pressurize each compartment separately so you have to climb up and down over and over and hook up hoses over and over. Single compartment trailers you only hook up once and disconnect once and your done. Also you do every unload yourself. A regular tanker account sometimes have you delivering to places where they unload you sometimes and you don’t have to do anything. Just a lot of work for ecolab. Good luck

Is it pretty hard to get hired by Superior straight out of CDL school? I contacted them and they game an approved school and they were encouraging but not sure.

Not really. They have some rules and don’t take everyone. You have to finish at the top of your class at school. That’s one reason it has to be approved so they have a relationship.

Best bet is call the terminal you are closest to and talk to the terminal manager.

@19d I'm in Austin, TX, I received an offer from Schneider Bulk starting on he 6th in Houston. Before I applied at Schneider, I applied and spoke with a recruiter from Superior for the same position. He told me it wouldn't be feasible for me to work at Superior cause of the distance to that terminal. Is there a reason Schneider was willing, but not Superior?

19 is the best. Lol. Am I only one that stays out and never uses hotels? I am fine sleeping in my truck. Doing reset and stay in truck. Guess when you got a fridge like I do it makes sense.
